Students and teachers left the school on Sunday with an intention to start afresh the next day. Upon coming back yesterday, they, to their utter disgust, found the school premises dirty with human excreta.
In an "ulterior motive to stop the activities" of Children Garden School in Narayanganj Sadar upazila, a vested quarter might commit this heinous act, said the school authorities.
“We found the school premises dirty with human excreta when we came back in the morning. We informed the school managing committee, and later cleaners cleaned those up,” said Mohammad Shah Alam, headteacher of the school.
Nurul Islam, the school`s managing committee chairman, said, “The same incident took place twice around 6 months ago. This is the third time. Their [the vested quarter] intention is to stop students from coming to the school. If students stop coming, the school will be closed someday, they think."
The school authorities filed a general dairy with Narayanganj Sadar Police Station yesterday afternoon and will submit a written complaint to the district commissioner today.
The school started its activities in 1994 in the upazila`s Shaheednagar area, said the school authorities, adding, around 287 students are currently enrolled in different classes from play-group to Class V.
Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Model Police Station Asaduzzaman said policemen were sent to the school for investigation.
Action will be taken once they get the investigation report, he added.
